T1 Electric Bike Display Manual

EKX T1 Ebike has not come with individual assembly instruction manual as other ekx electric bikes.

Control and Settings

  • Power and headlight switch control
  • 6 km/h cruise control
  • Wheel diameter, max speed, auto-sleep time, and voltage level settings

Communication Protocol

  • UART Protocol No. 2

NFC Power-On

  • Short press power button and use activation card near induction area to power on.
  • Note: Super Card cannot be used.

T1 eBike Display Function

  • Gear Control: Increase / decrease gear with the “+” “-” button.
  • Headlight Control: Short press the headlight button to turn it on or off.
  • Multi-Function Display Toggle: Short press the “i” button to cycle through display options.
  • Power On: Short press the “Power” button to power on, then swipe the card to start; swipe again to power off.
  • Settings Mode: Long press “i” button for 3 seconds to enter settings mode. Use + or – button to cycle through settings. Long press the “i” button again to enter a parameter setting. Long press “i” button again to save & exit settings mode.
  • Walk Assist Mode: Long press the “i” button for 8 seconds to enter walk assist mode. To exit, long press “i” button for 8 seconds again or use the brake.

P03: Gear Setting

1), Press and hold “i” button for 6 seconds to enter settings. 2), Navigate to the screen shown in the image, then press and hold “i” button again to modify. 3), Short press + / – to increase / decrease the parameter. 4), Long press “i” to save and exit the current parameter, or long press “headlight” button to save and exit to return to the main interface of the settings mode.

  • 0 – Three-speed mode

  • 1 – Five-speed mode

  • 2 – Nine-speed mode

  • 0: KM
  • 1: MILE

P06: Cruise Control

  • 0: Off
  • 1: On

P07: Drive Mode

  • 0: Pure throttle mode;
  • 1: Pure pedal assist mode;
  • 2: Both throttle and pedal assist modes enabled

P08: Speed Setting

Speed Limit: Range 0-100%. 100% means the speed is fully unrestricted.

  • Press and hold “i” button for 6 seconds to enter settings.
  • Navigate to the screen shown, then press and hold “i” button again to modify.
  • Short press + / – to adjust parameter.
  • Long press “i” to save and exit current parameter, or long press “headlight” to return to main settings interface.

Other Settings

  • P10: Default standby power-on password is displayed as 8888.
  • P11: Default standby setting password is displayed as 1234.
  • P13: Backlight brightness level 1-3.
  • P18: Instrument sleep time 1-10 minutes.

E01 Controller failure Check the connection of throttle with controllor or the internal MOS tube of the controller is broken down and caused a short circuit, and there will be a need to replace the controller after shutting down
E22 Handlebar failureCheck the connection of throttle with controllor or replace the throttle
E23 Motor failure Restart the bike
E24 Motor Hall sensor failure Check the integrity of the wiring of the motor Hall communication line, if there is no abnormality, replace the motor
E25 Brake lever failure Check whether the brake hall switch is off or the brake light is always on, if not, need to change the brake lever
E26Battery under-voltage Check whether the battery voltage is in a low battery state; charge the battery and test or replace another battery with sufficient power to test; if the battery power is normal, you need to replace the controller to test
E30 Communication abnormalCheck the integrity of the communication line wiring
